Visa and invitation
Most foreign participants needed an entry visa and an invitation from the host organisation. The organising committee prepared official invitation letters for registered delegates.
The invitation route
Under the rules described for the 2019 edition, foreign citizens and stateless persons entered Uzbekistan on an entry visa, obtained from an embassy or consulate abroad. The visa application rested on visa support confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The inviting organisation applied for that support. The conference committee could issue an official invitation letter to registered participants, which then supported the visa application.
Check the current rules with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the electronic visa portal before making travel plans. The guidance here is a record of the 2019 process.
