Submit a paper

The author route ran through EasyChair and a common paper template. The 2019 submission window is closed, but the record shows exactly how a paper moved from draft to proceedings.

6 to 10Pages per paper
Route

Three steps to the committee

The published route asked authors to prepare a paper, submit it through EasyChair and wait for confirmation from the scientific committee.

Step 01

Prepare the paper

Use the conference template and keep the text between six and ten pages. Check the title, abstract, keywords, figures and reference list before uploading.

Step 02

Submit through EasyChair

The conference used EasyChair for the author record. The submission system asked for the paper file and the author details in one place.

Step 03

Wait for review

The scientific committee reviewed the work, requested revisions where needed, and issued acceptance notices on the published calendar.

Archive note: the 2019 author window is closed. This page is a record of the process, not an active call for papers.

Structure

The IMRAD skeleton

The conference asked for a clear research article rather than a general essay. The notes below are a working guide to the required parts.

Title and abstract

Keep the title to seven words or fewer, not counting connecting words. Write it as a label, not a sentence, and choose specific nouns over broad labels that tell the reader little. The abstract should stand alone at 200 to 250 words and follow the order of the paper.

Keywords and introduction

Provide five to ten keywords. The introduction should set out the aim and the background through a focused literature review. Choose five to ten closely relevant sources rather than a long bibliography.

Methods and results

Describe the setup, materials, instruments and procedure so that another researcher can follow the work. Present results clearly, using figures and tables where they carry the data better than prose.

Discussion and conclusions

Explain the relationships in the results, compare them with published work and state what follows. The conclusion should generalise from the findings rather than repeat the results section.

Acknowledgements

Name the people and funders who supported the work, and include any funding statement required by the publisher.

References

Number the references in order of mention and cite them in square brackets. The guidance recommended about twenty sources, chosen for relevance and recency. Check every entry for accuracy before submission.
